| >About Us |
History iQur was founded in April 2003 as a spin-out from the University of Southampton Liver group. Focused on liver disease the company was initially established with three Divisions; Therapeutics, Diagnostics and Drug Distribution. The business model was that the other two Divisions would provide some early support for Therapeutics, the main research and development Division of the company. As the therapeutics programme has progressed attention has been concentrated on this division. In 2007 iQur sold the Drug Distribution division to Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals. In December 2008 the Diagnostics Division was sold to Delphic Diagnostics, with iQur retaining an exclusive agreement with Siemens to market the Enhanced liver Fibrosis Test. This is a diagnostic for liver damage developed by the Founder. This has allowed iQur to focus all the company’s resources on the development of its lead therapeutic candidate the Tandem Core vaccine platform. Current ConfigurationProf The Board is chaired by Mr Jack Boyer and
comprised of
non-executive members Dr Bruce Campbell, Mrs Brenda Reynolds and Dr
John Tite. Dr iQur maintains its ELF testing facility at the Royal Free Hospital, London where Prof Rosenberg is based and has its main vaccine laboratory located nearby in the London Bioscience & Innovation Centre where Dr Whelan is located. |
